First, the check engine light and second, the windshield washer pump. After a day or two they called back with the diagnostic assessment. We needed a new catalytic converter and a new washer pump, along with about five other recommended services.The quoted prices at the dealership seemed outrageous and the staff was very rude and cocky when I picked up the vehicle. So yesterday I took the bug into Anderson to get a second opinion. The staff was extremely friendly and they were able to quote me up front for a rough estimate. I decided to give them a shot and I was very happy I did. After their diagnostic, they came to similar conclusions to what VW did, but they blew me away in three ways.1) The staff was extremely friendly, up-front and honest and they were able to explain everything in great detail. On top of that, they called me and communicated every step of the way, and made sure not to make a move until I gave the OK. They had caught something VW had not as well; the front brakes were needing to be replaced, as they were getting to about 3mm before hitting the rotors. Despite getting hit with yet another thing that needed to be fixed, I didn’t feel like I was being cross-sold or pushed, and with the money they saved me and quoted me on the brakes alone, I was fine with the service. I’ll explain more of that later. Overall, I was very pleased with their professionalism and honesty.2) The speed of the repair was remarkable. I took the car in at 7:30 AM, received the full diagnostic at 10:30 AM, and all repairs (cat converter, washer pump and brakes) were done at 4:30 PM. I was thrilled with their efficiency and their job well done.3) The price was great. For all the repairs, I was quoted at just over what VW charged for only the catalytic converter. On top of that, they were able to find a less expensive part of the same quality and government regulation restrictions and let me know they installed that one, saving significantly more money. This made me very happy because not only am I getting virtually the same part for less, but I know I can trust these guys to do what’s best for me. The cost of having all three repairs done was almost identical in cost to having the VW dealership perform ONLY the repair to the catalytic converter. To top it all off, the price ended up being lower than my quote and they accepted an expired coupon, which was of significant value. Their parts and service are also covered under a 24 month/24,000 mile warranty for peace of mind, and the part installed had a manufacturer’s warranty extended several years beyond.All in all, I am extremely pleased with Anderson Automotive and I will be going to them moving forward for service on both our cars. I cannot say enough about how great of job they did and how professional they were. I have already referred them to several people and will continue to do so. To address some of the previous reviews concerning diagnostic fee, I don’t quite understand. Dealerships charge an identical fee and any place with a good mechanic is not going to give their time and expertise away for free, so I don’t know why one wouldn’t expect a charge. Besides, many (including Anderson) will apply it to the cost of the repair, if you have it done. Just my two cents. Anderson provided an experience of which every mechanic should.

Unfortunately I had to have to some work done on my car this fall and was pleasantly surprised by Anderson Automotive. The staff was friendly and down to earth, and I never felt like was I was being taken advantage of. The work was done correctly and on time, plus the price was fair – what more do you want?

I have used Anderson Automotive over the years with consistently reliable service. They always shoot me straight on what needs to be fixed and being a “chauffeur” to 2 young kids, Anderson Automotive keeps them happy too by being speedy with their work:)

Some of the best customer service I have ever received! They took my car in immediately, were prompt and efficient with fixing it and I didn’t feel like I overpaid. Great, family owned company! I highly recommend you to take your car to them!

The staff is very accommodating and friendly. They’ve always answered all of my questions thoroughly and given me great information about my cars. There’s no doubt that they provide excellent quality in a timely manner.
